Coffee has been around for a really, really, really long time, and honestly not much has changed. The Aeropress is one of the few things that has revolutionized the making of coffee in the morning (or whenever).

I’m sure you have heard of Aeropress, always wondered what it was, and how to use it (see how here).

The Aerpress has some very important features, and benefits.

Portability

I’m sure most people would choose other things about the Aeropress to mention first, however this is my personal favorite feature. The unit can easily be taken with you wherever you want, on the plane, in the car, on the bus, and more.

They even recently launched their new Aeropress Go version, that includes your cup.

Taste of Coffee

Acidity of coffee tends to be what a lot of people don’t like about coffee. Because this type of coffee maker is made by pressure, it doesn’t extract out the acidity and gives a great cup of coffee because of that.

Quickly make coffee

Aeropress advertises that you can make between 1-3 cups of coffee in the matter of a minute. This is huge, because my coffee maker tends to take about 3-5 depending on what setting I’m using.

Components of the Aeropress

What does the Aeropress come with?

The Aeropress comes with the following:

  • Aeropress unit
  • Coffee Scoop
  • 350 filters
  • Stir stick
  • Funnel

So what do I think about the Aeropress?

Lets take a look at what is good, and not as good.

Pros

  • Portable
  • Inexpensive
  • Easy to use
  • Non acidic cup of coffee

Cons

  • Can’t make a complete carafe of coffee

Conclusion

I really like the idea of an Aeropress, and can give a pretty wide array of taste. It’s a lot of fun, and keeps you pretty involved in the process of extracting the perfect cup of coffee for the morning.

Don’t want to be involved, but still want this style of coffee? Maybe the FrankOne would be a great option.

Otherwise, give it a try! At around $30, it’s not a huge risk.
