4 Best Gun Safes At COSTCO: These Are The Good Ones In 2022

Reading Time: 3 minutes //  by Austin

We may get commissions for purchases made through links in this post. Thanks for the support!

Shopping at Costco is an experience, and for many is pretty much the
only place you go to buy…. well pretty much anything! Need a
50 pack of toothbrushes? Maybe a standing desk? Costco probably has it. Need a brand new car? Costco has it. Need a gun safe? Yeah, you guessed it! Costco has it.

On this last point, I’d like to talk about it more in depth.

These are the best gun safes at Costco

What is the best gun safe at Costco?

I’m going to split this up into 4 categories, as they do have a decent
array of options. Costco isn’t super well known for offering quality
options, however I have chosen 4 products that should fulfill the need
for a gun safe at one of the best prices out there.

1. Best overall gun safe at Costco -Bighorn B6033XGL

The Bighorn name has been around for quite a while, and has built up
quite a reputation in the gun safe community as being a great value.
Bighorn is built by Rhino, and is generally an imported safe. However
this safe in particular, well, it’s not really a Bighorn. From what I
can tell, this is a rebranded Rhino A6033X safe that is made right
here in the USA.

It features a 120 minute fire rating, a name brand S&G lock, 10 gauge
steel, capped external hinges, and includes curbside delivery.

If you are on the hunt for a Rhino safe, but can’t quite afford this one, the Ironworks Safes by Rhino are an awesome option as well. A little different specs, but awesome safes. You can take a look at it here!

Learn more about this safe on Costco’s website.

You can also see more about the Rhino brand that this Bighorn is derivative of here.

2. Best budget full size gun safe at Costco – Bighorn B5933ECX

Yet again, here is a Bighorn safe. This time it is actually an import!
I know, I know… imports are frowned upon by most people. However at
under $1000.00 it is definitely a great price.

It has a 40 minute fire rating, and entry level 14 gauge steel, and a
name brand SecuRAM lock. While these are definitely entry level specs,
it is a large safe that can contain a lot of items. It also is backed
up by a reputable company (Rhino).

You can learn more about this safe here, on Costco’s website, or checking out my overview on Bighorn safes.

Or if you are so inclined, Kodiak is also made by Rhino and is really similar to the Bighorn lineup, and you should definitely read this article here about that brand, or shop for the safe here as they have similar safes you can buy in other places other than Costco.

3. Best Home Safe at Costco – Sentry Safe SFW205CZB

The Sentry Safe SFW205CZB would be my pick for a home safe from
Costco. It is both fire and water resistant, which is great for most
things you would put in a home safe like papers.

My favorite part, is that it has a mechanical lock. Most things you
put into a home safe will not need to be accessed quickly, so its best
to keep a lock that has a good life on it. It doesn’t get much better
than a mechanical in this situation.

It also has trays on the interior, bolt down holes, and 6 bolts.

At under $350, its a great value and would work well in most offices or homes!

Learn more about this safe on Coscto’s website, or if you don’t have Costco membership, this is also another great place to buy this safe

4. Best pistol safe at Costco – Edge Safe by Cannon

This is a very simple safe, with no real stand out features. I like
that there are color options which are fun!

Cannon maybe better known for their home safes, and gun safes, but this is still a great product.

It offers minimal safety, however will work for many people! I
probably would recommend looking at a more specialized site for gun
safes in the end though before purchasing this one. Something like a
Vaultek VT10i may be a great option.

You can see more about this safe on Costco’s website. You can also now find a mini version of this over here.

Conclusion

Costco, like many other big box retailers like Rural King and Cabela’s also have have some awesome deals. You just need to make sure you are buying quality, and understanding what you are buying.
