Blue Bottle Coffee started out in the early 2000s as a service in Oakland, California that would physically deliver coffee beans that would have been roasted within 48 hours before delivery. While they may not be making physical deliveries to your door, they still shipping your coffee within 48 hours of roasting.
Why 48 hours?
So what is so important about shipping it within the 48 hours? Coffee loses some of it’s taste the longer it sits. Blue Bottle Coffee wants you to be able to have the best taste possible, and shipping them within 48 hours helps with that.
One of my favorite parts of Blue Bottle Coffee, is that they are able to take the thought of needing coffee completely out of the picture. Once you go through, and find the coffee that fits you best, you are able to subscribe, and they will ship you coffee at your desired interval.
It will then show up on your doorstep, to be used however you prefer. It can be used with a Chemex, Moka Pot, pour over, French Press or really any way you would make your coffee.
There are 4 different styles of coffee that they offer. Single Origin, blends, espresso, or decaf. Of course within each of those categories, there are plenty of styles of coffee within that.

Conclusion
There are quite a few subscription coffee companies out there. However Blue Bottle seems to be one of the best out there.
