I’m a big fan of coffee, and even I also really like things that are portable and can be taken on the go. Enter the Wacaco Minipresso GR.
This Minipresso GR is a to-go espresso maker. At only 6.89 inches in length, and 0.8 pounds, it definitely lives up to its name as being mini.
The GR model stands for ground coffee, this is the one where you use your own coffee instead of pods. I’m not a huge fan of pod based coffee makers, so this is my favorite option.

So how does it work?
All you have to do is put coffee in the top, put in hot water, pump the Minipresso, and and you have a shot of Espresso!
Who is this Minipresso GR great for?
The Wacaco Minipresso GR is great for those on the go, who travel a lot, drive a lot, or aren’t home much due to work.
It is also great for those that don’t have much space. A lot of small apartments or homes just can’t handle a normal espresso maker, and this can easily be put in a drawer when not in use.
Finally, it is great for camping. As long as you are able to get hot water, this will work for you!
Who is this not great for?
The Minipresso probably won’t be great for anyone that doesn’t have ready access to hot water.
Unfortunately this doesn’t heat up it’s own water, so without that you won’t have coffee.
Conclusion on the Minipresso
At the time of this writing, the Minipresso GR is just under $50. At that price you won’t find many coffee makers, much less one that is this versatile.
I say it’s worth a try! Especially if I could try it out with Drive Coffee‘s espresso.
