Snapsafe Releases The Medium Under Bed Safe [My Favorite So Far]

Reading Time: 2 minutes //  by Austin

Snapsafe makes some of my favorite modular safes (read more here), and is the Under Bed Safes are even on my best gun safes under $500 (you can read about that here)!

Now in 2020, they are launching the Medium size for the under bed safe.

What is different from the rest?

The newest addition to the Snapsafe Under Bed Safe line departs from the earlier design, by giving a more digital style keypad that lays flush with the body of the safe.

Aesthetically it also has rounded corners, and a more textured black finish than the previous versions.

It weighs around half the weight of its next larger sibling at only 51 pounds and drops in size dramatically. The exterior dimensions are 26″ Wide by 5″ High by 20″ Deep.

This safe does still maintain all of the same uses as the larger safe, by being a 14 gauge steel sliding safe that includes a 5-foot tie down cable.

The MSRP of the safe is going to be $459.00 when it launches!

Specifications:

  • Exterior: 26″W x 5″H x 20″D
  • Weight: 51 pounds
  • Lock: Digital lock with key backup
  • Steel Thickness: 14 gauge steel
  • Included Accessories: 5 foot anchor cable
  • Price: $459.00

Who is this safe for?

With this smaller size, I think this safe could fit on shelves, in closets (here are some other safes that fit in closets), or quite a few different places in a home or vehicle.

It would also be ideal for those looking to store electronics, or other valuable and not just firearms. The safe also looks a lot nicer, so it will appeal to more people than the other larger units.

Conclusion

Snapsafe has slowly been growing their under bed safe line, and this is definitely a highly anticipated one. I would recommend this one just like the other ones. They are a great price for many, and they are perfect for those that may not be able to have a stand-up full size style of safe.
