I personally have been spending a lot of time learning about coffee this year. On this site I have begun to feature quite a few that I found interesting, and awesome!
Below are the top 7 units that I have found that I think are worth a look!
7. Ninja Coffee Bar
This is my personal daily use coffee maker I own. I bought this one a while before I started to learn more about coffee.
It has been an awesome coffee maker, however I know I can get a bit better coffee than this one out there! However at a relatively inexpensive price, it has been one of the best coffee makers I have owned.
The Mokapot can sometimes cause you issues, even if you feel like you have done everything right.
However it gives you a feeling of accomplishment that you don’t get from an automatic coffee maker, but is easier and cleaner than a lot of other options.
5. Ratio Eight
The Ratio Eight is the most expensive one on this list. However with it’s ability to make a true cup of pour over coffee, and a very cool and well built design, it belongs on this list as one of my favorite coffee makers.
Yes, this is an alarm clock, and yes, it is awesome! It’s got a bit of a hefty price, but it is oh so awesome. It will wake you up with the smell of coffee, and won’t burn your foot like Michael does on The Office.
The Aeropress relies on pressurizing the coffee grounds, and allows for a portable, and delicious cup of coffee.
Many people out there highly enjoy this coffee maker, and at a price around $30 it can give a good tasting cup of coffee on a budget.
You can think of the FrankOne as an automatic Aeropress. It is also portable, battery operated, and makes a great cup of coffee easily.
It has a great bonus! It can make cold brew coffee in as little as 4 minutes!
Chemex has been around for a while, and tends to be synonomous with a good cup of pour over coffee. It has an amazing design, and is relatively inexpensive.
Most people that enjoy coffee should probably have one of these in their kitchen.
Every coffee maker out there has it’s own set of features, and isn’t meant for everyone.
Pour over wouldn’t be great for someone that is always on the go, and a normal automatic coffee maker probably wouldn’t be best for someone that enjoys the process of making coffee in the morning.
This of course was not an exhaustive list of coffee makers out there, and hopefully next year will grow and become more refined as I become more of an expert.
Buying a coffee maker? Make sure to clean it!
