If you’re looking for a new pair of socks to take on your next hiking or running adventure, look no further than the Swiftwick Flite XT Trail sock. These socks are designed to provide superior performance and comfort while you’re out on the trails, and they deliver.

Please Note: These socks were sent out to me free of charge, however, all opinions are my own.

This innovative trail running sock is designed to give you advanced stability on uneven terrain. Featuring AnkleLock Technology and GripDry Fibers, this sock will keep your feet stable and supported as you navigate through tough terrains. Made with a Merino wool mixture, the Flite XT Trail regulates temperature and moisture, keeping your feet cool and dry no matter how strenuous your journey becomes.

You would be forgiven if you thought I had reviewed these before, however, those were the original Flite XT, which were more for sports and running! These updated Trail version socks are meant more for hiking, while still being thinner than the Pursuit Hike socks that I have also reviewed. These are a great in-between of those two socks!

What do I like about the Flite XT Trail socks?

I was introduced to Swiftwick a while back, and haven’t looked back! This brand has kicked out some of my favorite socks, which I am always excited to wear (I’m not kidding).

These Flite XT Trail socks have quickly made their way into the rotation and are very comfortable. If you have ever had those socks that just don’t form to your feet quite right, these aren’t those. The moment you put them on you can feel how the sock forms around your foot and gives you support wherever you need it.

Worried about that seam at the end of your toes? These socks don’t have that.

Do you have issues with sliding around inside of your shoes? Swiftwick solved that with their GripDry Fibers.

You also can’t forget that these socks are made of Merino wool, making them moisture-wicking, and also very comfortable.

I also prefer the color of these socks, in comparison to the original Flite XT socks as well. Instead of being a jet black color, they are more of a dark gray color that I like better.

What could be improved?

Honestly, there isn’t much to improve with these socks. They are built for a purpose and do that well! Generally speaking, if there is something you don’t like about one of their pair of socks, you likely just need to be looking at a different line of socks as they probably have something to offer you.

I know, I know, I should come up with some downsides, however, this brand does make great socks that work well for whatever purpose you need.

What are the different options with these socks?

There are four different variations of the Flite XT Trail sock. You can purchase the sock in either a shorter 2″ cuff or the taller 5″ cuff (what I opted for). You can then also select either size cuff in either a dark gray color (what I chose) or the lighter gray color.

You can of course also purchase them in an array of different shoe sizes as well, making it the perfect fit for what you need.

Conclusion

If you are in the market for a new pair of trail running socks, I would highly recommend checking out Swiftwick’s Flite XT Trail sock. With superior comfort, support, and stability, these socks will help you take your game to the next level. And trust me, once you try Swiftwick socks, you won’t want to go back!
