Cannon Home Safes: A Quick Overview

Reading Time: 2 minutes //  by Austin

Cannon home safes has been a powerhouse in the safes industry for years. While recently moving their production to Mexico, it has caused them to appeal to a different demographic.

There of course are upside and downsides to this. The downside is that the quality has taken a dip, as it is difficult to create a safe to compete off shores. The upside is Cannon has developed some great home safes that work great in most homes. These safes have also been developed by a company with years of production experience.

Cannon Home Safes options

Loft Series

Cannon’s Loft Series is the top of the line home safe developed by Cannon, it features paint options, and electronic lock, 8 locking bolts, and a 60 minute fire rating.

Director Series

The director series is the next step down. These safes come in any color you want, as long as it is gray, has 4″ locking bolts, and a 75 minute fire rating.

Landmark Series

While we are starting to get down there on quality, the Landmark Series is a great budget safe for keeping paperwork. As well as some non-sentimental valuables. It features varying locking bolt configurations, more dimension variants than the rest, and come in a brown/tan color.

Keep in mind, that these safes are not meant to be a good alternative to high end home safes made by companies like Fort Knox, Browning/Prosteel, or other USA made options. However they do work well for many homes.

Conclusion

Cannon homes safes may not be the best out there, however they do offer a cost effective option to those that can’t afford the more expensive American Made home safes.
