Top 2 Yeti Mugs every Coffee Drinker Needs

Reading Time: 3 minutes //  by Austin

I am a huge fan of Yeti mugs. Honestly, while most people think of their coolers are what hallmark of Yeti products, I immediately think of their mugs instead.

They are high quality, keep drinks extremely warm for long periods of time, and even though they are expensive, I still think they are a great deal.

However for those that are just starting to buy Yeti mugs, or maybe just buying a gift for a friend or family member, you may be wondering which yeti is best for coffee?

My choices for the best yeti for coffee is by far both the Rambler 14 ounce mug, and the Rambler 20 oz Tumbler! One is awesome for camp side coffee, and your morning coffee, while the other is awesome for on-the-go.

1. Rambler 14 oz Mug With Standard Lid

This mug is by far my favorite Yeti to use for coffee at home, and at the campsite. While it may not work well for drinking coffee in the car, or on-the-go, it is awesome for you normal coffee in the morning.

It’s extremely heavy duty, yet also a well styled mug. It keeps coffee incredibly warm for long periods of time, yet is also easy to drink out of.

With the no-nonsense lid on these, they are easy to drink out of, and you never really feel like you have to remove the lid.

However keep in mind, the lid is really only there to keep your drink warm, as it is not water tight, yet again showing it isn’t really meant for travel. If you want something to travel with, the next one is going to be right up your alley.

Specifications

  • Dimensions: 4″ Wide (5″ w/ Handle) by 3 3/4″
  • Capacity: 14 ounces
  • Weight: 13 ounces

Pros

  • Keeps coffee warm for long periods of time
  • Works awesome
  • Lid is easy to drink from
  • Large capacity
  • Dishwasher safe

Cons

  • Not microwave safe
  • Can’t take it on-the-go

2. Rambler 20 oz Tumbler with Magslider Lid

This tumbler looks great in the blue color

If your focus when buying a Yeti Mug is for something that is great on-the-go rather than for your home, you can’t get anything much better than the Rambler 20oz Tumbler.

My favorite thing about using this mug is its Magslider Lid, which locks itself shut with a magnet rather than a clip like most other mugs. This makes it easy to open, and is easily moved so you can actually clean your mug.

That brings me to my next favorite thing about this mug. Cleaning it! So many other travel mugs are so hard to clean, and most at some point require you to just give up and buy a different one. However this one is easy to clean, and use again.

Finally, it of course does everything you would expect from a Yeti product. It keeps coffee extremely warm (you can actually read a whole article about that here), it is high quality and doesn’t wear out, and it has great aesthetics, and well done paint.

Specifications

  • Dimensions: 3 1/2″ Wide (2 3/4″ at the base) by 6 7/8″ High
  • Capacity: 20 ounces
  • Weight: 12.7 ounces

Pros

  • Large capacity
  • High quality
  • MagSlider Lid is awesome
  • Fits in cup holders

Cons

  • MagSlider lid isn’t completely waterproof

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Yeti mugs keep coffee hot?

Yeti mugs do an awesome job keeping coffee hot, in an experiment we did here on the site, we found that the Rambler Tumbler could keep coffee hot enough to drink for over 5 hours.

Are Yeti mugs worth it?

After owning a couple different yeti mugs and water bottles, I can say that they are definitely worth the money you spend. These are mugs that you likely will never have to throw away, and will be able to keep for a long period of time.

Is Yeti Made in USA?

According to the bottom of my 20oz Tumbler, Yeti mugs are made in China, and not in the USA.

Conclusion

While these two coffee mugs by Yeti are my personal favorites of their selection, you can of course really buy anything branded as a Rambler, or a Mug on Yeti’s website here. They all should do just fine!

Their larger Ramblers are built well, so that they can still fit into cup holders just like the one I talked about earlier.

Get your Yeti, and enjoy the new mug!
